The second episode of our photo album is here…after four months of hibernation…in case you haven’t noticed we are in the Rainy Season, and our cameras don’t normally work in the rainy season (Freaks of Technology, tell me about it). But after much praying and fasting (yes we just ended the Ramadan Season), Our Cameras were granted a few moments of sight, to capture and to captivate those who will go through these our Memories in Print.
Yes it has been an event filled week (26th July to 2nd August 2014)…I just learnt today that Lyriversity has reached the Deciduous Plains of New-Zealand (the city of 100 volcanoes), in fact it has even navigated the River Ganges, explored the Himalayas (I hope) and came crushing, no descending smoothly into the Lateritic Soils of Eastern Nigeria.
Whether you move by car, or by plane, or by bike or bicycle, or by Leg-geedis benz still, you are welcome to join us as we share with you our week in a thousand words.
THE NEW-ZEALAND EXPERIENCE
Lady Fiona Lovatt attending a Diplomatic event…hmm Diplomatic immunity and all…hmm let’s talk about me envying.
Suffer little Children to come to me, for the kingdom of heaven is meant for people like these…feeling like Jesus Christ (yeah yeah…yeah right)
THE INDIAN FLEXING
Obi– (coughs), Lawrence goes to school. At the ESRI (don’t ask me what that means) geospatial database launch summit in India. I heard India is the new Dubai, or is it London…hmm
Kite flying festival…(Eyes rolling) too much time…little Khan with his kite ready to fly…”wait for me.”
Talk of beauty, lovely skyline with serene environment…where is the Ganges and the Himalayas, your guess is as good as mine.
THE NIGERIAN HUSTLE
First day of Industrial Training, Engineer in the making. Rumour has it that this is the next shoeless boy (if you know what I mean) hence the half pix. Mr Chika, try and smile naaa…remember oga Jonah had no shoe too.
Nigerian lower class: life and direct, no sugar-coating…It’s simply hot like drying sawdust on live-coal, no simile.
Some say Onitsha is full of Illiterates, and I say Pictures don’t lie…look and you shall see…Books! Books!! Books!!! Everywhere. Next time you make it to this cosmopolitan city of Onitsha…endeavour to make a stop at the Post Office…+
Join us next week (hopefully) for another interesting episode of “The Week in a Thousand Word”
